🍓 Homeschool Strawberry U-Pick Day
January 13 • 9:30 AM–2:00 PM
Join us for a hands-on educational day where students will learn how strawberries grow, explore the farm, and pick fresh strawberries to take home.
Important U-Pick Notice
Strawberry picking is subject to change based on weather, crop availability, and farm conditions. Because strawberries are a seasonal crop, the quantity and condition of available berries cannot be guaranteed. If U-Pick is unavailable, a comparable educational activity may be provided.
Step Up Approved
Amber Brooke Farms is an approved Step Up For Students provider. Eligible homeschool families may use scholarship funds toward admission for our educational Homeschool Days.
About Strawberry U-Pick Day
Strawberry U-Pick Day gives homeschool families the opportunity to learn where their food comes from through a hands-on farm experience. Students will learn about the strawberry life cycle, discover how strawberries are planted and cared for, pick fresh berries, and explore the farm.
Pick Fresh Strawberries
Each registered child will participate in the strawberry U-Pick experience and receive a designated container for picking, subject to crop availability and farm conditions.

9:30 AM–10:15 AM | Check-In & Registration
- Guest check-in
- Waiver verification, if needed
- Families receive wristbands and activity materials
- Free time until the welcome begins
10:30 AM–10:50 AM | Welcome & Farm Overview

- Review strawberry field and U-Pick instructions
11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Learning Station Rotations
Families will rotate through the day’s hands-on strawberry and farm activities.
Strawberry U-Pick
Visit the strawberry field, learn how to identify ripe berries, and pick fresh strawberries to take home.
Free Play
Let off some steam and free play on our many farm activities: play grounds, jump pillows, and more.
Sunflower Express Farm Tour
Take a guided ride around the farm and learn about our crops, fields, growing seasons, and daily farm operations.
Hands-On Planting Activity
Participate in a hands-on planting activity while learning what plants need to grow healthy and strong.
12:00 PM–2:00 PM | Lunch & Farm Fun
After the learning stations conclude, enjoy the rest of your visit around the farm.
- Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from our Food Truck, which will be open during lunch.
- Enjoy free play on the farm attractions.
- Purchase additional available U-Pick produce or flowers.
- Shop for farm merchandise, local products, and gifts in our Farm Market.
Important Information
- Please arrive during the designated check-in window.
- Children must remain supervised by a parent or guardian.
- Closed-toe shoes are recommended for all farm and field activities.
- The strawberry field may be muddy or uneven, so please dress for outdoor farm conditions.
- Strawberry picking is subject to weather, crop availability, and farm conditions.
- Please pick only the berries directed by farm staff and remain within designated U-Pick areas.
- Additional strawberries, food, merchandise, and other U-Pick purchases are not included unless otherwise stated.
