Celebrate the Christmas season with a hands-on educational day featuring a real Christmas tree, a keepsake ornament craft, rosemary planting, a guided farm tour, and time to enjoy the farm.
Step Up Approved
Amber Brooke Farms is an approved Step Up For Students provider. Eligible homeschool families may use scholarship funds toward admission for our educational Homeschool Days.
About Christmas Day
Christmas Day gives homeschool families the opportunity to explore plants, farming, and holiday traditions through hands-on activities. Students will learn how Christmas trees are grown, decorate a keepsake ornament, plant rosemary to take home, and explore the farm aboard the Sunflower Express.
Plant Rosemary to Take Home
Each participating child will plant rosemary to take home while learning how this fragrant herb grows, how to care for it, and why it is often shaped like a miniature Christmas tree during the holiday season.
Christmas Day Schedule
9:30 AM–10:15 AM | Check-In & Registration

11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Learning Station Rotations
Families will rotate through the day’s hands-on Christmas activities.
Christmas Tree Discovery Station
Learn how Christmas trees are grown, why evergreen trees stay green year-round, and how farmers care for them before they become part of holiday traditions.
Christmas Ornament Craft
Decorate a keepsake ornament to take home and remember your Christmas Day at Amber Brooke Farms.
Plant Your Own Rosemary
Plant rosemary to take home while learning how this fragrant herb grows, how to care for it, and why it is often shaped like a miniature Christmas tree during the holiday season.
Sunflower Express Farm Tour
Take a guided ride around the farm and learn more about our crops, fields, growing seasons, and daily farm operations.
12:00 PM–2:00 PM | Lunch & Farm Fun
After the learning stations conclude, enjoy the rest of your visit around the farm.
- Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from our Food Truck, which will be open during lunch.
- Enjoy free play on the farm attractions.
- Pick flowers through our U-Pick experience, available for an additional purchase.
- Shop for farm merchandise and gifts in our Farm Market.
Important Information
- Please arrive during the designated check-in window.
- Children must remain supervised by a parent or guardian.
- Closed-toe shoes are recommended for all farm activities.
- Rosemary plants and craft materials are intended for registered participating children.
- Activities are subject to change due to weather, crop availability, materials, or farm conditions.
- Food, merchandise, and U-Pick flower purchases are not included unless otherwise stated.
